Naznin Hasan Khan has been honored with the Best Director award at the Bangladesh Entertainment Journalist Association (Babisas) Awards 2023-2024. She received the award on Saturday, February 22, at a grand event held at the Bangladesh Film Development Corporation. She was recognized in the drama category as the Best Director.
The award was presented to her by legendary actress Anwara Begum with special guest Tashik Ahmed, Broadcast and Program Advisor at ATN Bangla, in attendance. The ceremony was chaired by Abul Hossain Majumder.
In her acceptance speech, Naznin Hasan Khan expressed her gratitude, saying, “Today’s honor is a great source of inspiration for me. It will further enhance the dynamism of my professional work. I thank everyone for this recognition and love, and I will continue to focus on the audience in my future works.”
The Babisas Awards also recognized several notable personalities with lifetime achievement awards, including Anwara Begum, Ashraf Uddin Ahmed Ujjal, and Ferdous Ara for their contributions to music.
Other special recognitions were given to film personalities like Rozina, Rubel, and Tashik Ahmed. Additionally, awards were presented to individuals like Nirab Hossain, Joy Chowdhury, Siam Ahmed, Shiba Sanu, Rashed Mamun Apu, Khaled Hossain Chowdhury, Md. Fahad, Golam Kibria Tanvir, Romana Islam Mukti, Shabnom Bubli, Shabnam Parveen, Arpana Rani Rajbanshi, and Bobby Hock, among others.
In music, special contributions were acknowledged with awards given to artists such as Monir Khan, Robi Chowdhury, Ehtun Babu, Babyn Naznin, Dolly Shyantoni, and Tasiba Begum, among others.
