Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina strongly condemned the cowardice attack near British Parliament and expressed her condolences at the loss of innocent people.
In a letter addressed to the British Prime Minister Theresa May, she said: It is with a deep sense of shock that we have learnt about the recent terrorist attack in the vicinity of British Parliament.
The attack caused the death of four people and over forty injured.
‘We strongly condemn their despicable act. This act of cowardice is a blot in the conscience of humanity. Bangladesh is resolved to forge unity with the international community to defeat terrorism in its various forms and manifestations,’ PM Hasina said.
She conveyed heartfelt condolences at the loss of innocent lives due to this senseless act of terrorism and said: We stand by the government and the people of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland at these hours.
‘Our thoughts and prayers are with the members of the grieved families. We pray to the Almighty so that the departed souls rest in peace,’ she said in the condolence message.
