Types of AI: AI can be divided into four categories, based on the type and complexity of the tasks a system is able to perform. They are:
- Reactive machines
- Limited Memory
- Theory of Mind
- Self awareness
Reactive machines:
- A reactive machine follows the most basic of AI principles, it is capable of only using its intelligence to react to the word in front of it.
- Deep Blue is an example of Reactive Machines. It was a chess playing supercomputer.
Limited Memory: Limited Memory AI has the ability to store previous data and predictions when gathering information and deciding potential decisions.
Theory of Mind: It is just theoretical. The technological and scientific capabilities necessary to reach this next level of AI has not been reached yet.
Self Awareness: Once theory of mind can be established, sometime well in the future of AI, AI may become self-aware.
Artificial Intelligence Examples: AI technology takes many forms, from chatbots to navigation apps and wearable fitness trackers. Some examples are:
- ChatGPT: It is an AI chatbot capable of producing written content in a range of formats.
- Google Maps: It’s a navigation app which uses location data from smartphones.
- Smart Assistants: Personal assistants like Siri, Alexa and Cortana use natural language processing (NLP), to help users make their work quicker.
AI in Bangladesh: Bangladesh is a country with a population of 160 million and is one of the densely populated countries. In different industrial areas, automation and control technologies are being applied. The technological evolution of AI started long ago, but its impacts are being revealed now in the country. Services, transportation, education, agriculture, health and environment are some specific sectors where AI has come to use.
AI in Sports: Artificial Intelligence is transforming the sports industry in many ways. It is being used utilized to plan strategies, coach athletes, market, and much more, from Football to Formula 1. AI is making the training process competitive and more efficient, and it is helping to analyze and predict athletes’ performance. AI is also being used in predictive analytics to predict the outcome of a game with accuracy, assisting coaches decide more efficiently in everything from player selection to in-game strategy.
